Ryegrass Roots, 3/27/2013

Roots on this ryegrrass plant from court 18 are healthy.  The picture is not great but the roots are thick and longer than my hand.  I couldn't get my trowel deep enough into the soil to find the bottom of the roots - the plants wintered well.  Click on the picture to get a better view/closeup.

How about the other grass? It looks pretty good to an amateur.

To all hungry people on Thursday:

Magnus has invited Mats Wilander to come and join us for lunch, so, in his honor I have slightly altered the menu:

Matsloaf
Matsaroni and cheese
Mats potatoes

These are little known Swedish delicacies

The matsloaf has been cooked and is resting and gathering its strength to withstand the anticipated onslaught of the hungry hordes tomorrow.
The accouterments will be ready late morning - this is not a meal for the faint of heart.

Yours in calories. Scales will be available for weigh ins before and after.
