LCC Grounds blog began in 2008. Entries have educated membership and the public on the crew, agronomic techniques, horticulture and clay court maintenance.

Nice picture - I think Dick Mount was walking around the grass trying to figure out how to pick up one of my drop shots which I hit against him during the Newport matches on Saturday. I was getting back at him for 30+ years of his perfect lobs and calling me a "lucky banana". I am not alone - I share that sobriquet with his other opponents such as Tom Dupree and Hugh Miller .. and perhaps even Caroline Driscoll.
