Geese

For many years Canadian geese have been an unpleasant winter addition to the LCC grounds. We have tried a few methods to deter their visiting the property (they damage both the clay and grass courts) and our current method of stretching strings across the courts has been 100% successful.

Here is good article on geese - why there are so many of them, how to deter them, what works.

The Clubhouse Court had some visitors last week including Angela and Jennifer Buras. The abnormally warm weather has kept the grass especially green this autumn. Let's hope for a gradual cool down, so the grass can get ready for winter.
