LCC Grounds blog began in 2008. Entries have educated membership and the public on the crew, agronomic techniques, horticulture and clay court maintenance.

Nate the Great


Nate Salmore is one of the new sports turf managers on the LCC grounds staff. Nate brings a lot of clay and grass tennis court experience with him. He worked at Longwood before attending the turf program at UMass and then worked at The Westmoor Club, Essex Covnty Club and The Boathouse. Four clubs with grass tennis courts! He also brings valuable experience from work at Fenway Park and the world famous resort, The Broadmoor, in Colorado Springs, CO.

Welcome back and thanks to MIke for the loan of the pump - which promptly overheated and stopped.

I was going to offer a pizza party but I may have to downgrade it to a bag of popcorn.
