Today the crew is back full time. The day started with a typical discussion, "What is the definition of a fast food restaurant?" Some claim it is food that is prepared ahead of time, others said if you are waited on it isn't fast food. Five Guys makes great burgers to order - is it fast food?
Below is the lawn by clay court 1. It has a great deal of snow mold (fungus that grows in the cool weather). The grass courts were protected in November with a fungicide. Same grass as the lawn - no fungus. Good thing we treat the courts or they would look like the lawn or worse!

Welcome back, Dirt Dogs!!!
I don't want to see Mike and Tim in tuxedos like at the All England Club - everyone must get dirty!!
I saw Jeff on Sunday - he was rubbing dirt all over himself in preparation for today - or, it was Jeff being Jeff.
I just started reading the blog for this season and had not realized this opening debate was included. Obviously I was involved in the discussion but fast food is about how quickly it is made not how quickly it is served. McDonald's has burgers made and kept warm - it is fast food, with or without waitresses, with or without TV's in the place, no matter how much lipstick is put on the pig. Five Guys is made to order. Even without waitresses, it is not fast food. Quick and delicious food, without a doubt. But fast: no.
May God forgive me for equating my third favorite restaurant with a pig.
