LCC Grounds blog began in 2008. Entries have educated membership and the public on the crew, agronomic techniques, horticulture and clay court maintenance.

Still waiting on the clay courts to melt and firm up so we can begin spring renovations. Pansies are ready for planting - spring must be finally coming.
Oh boy - I've never tried to play tennis in a flowerbed - but I guess I can try. Hopefully things will warm up soon or we'll be hitting the opening ball on May 1st - I think Tom Dupree will be back from Hawaii by then - I've seen Dick's snazzy red VW around so I know he's available.

A week from Thursday is Gallagher's gustatory garden for the grounds crew guys (and others who want a free meal).
At the moment the menu is:
Eileen's excellent meatloaf
Home made new potato mashed potatoes
Mac and cheese
A healthy veggie to be named later.
