New Crciket

Charlie from Dutelle Roofers showing the old cricket from the clubhouse weather vane and a new one he just finished fabricating (copper).  The new one will be functional - the old will be displayed in the clubhouse.

The editor of the blog has clearly developed the dreaded "Spelling like Jeff" disease during the winter hibernation period.
That notwithstanding, the cricket looks great, although I was hoping that a former member of the crew would be bronzed and displayed year round as our official weather vane.

I am planning a sumptuous and filling repast for the lads (and invited ladies) in the near future. I will be conferring with the chief grounds wizard in the future to plan the feast.

Word has it that it will be a superb stew, replete with the finest beef, potatoes and vegetables, along with salad and rolls. I hope our dessert chef will, once again, come up with some "Favorites de France" pour notre plaisir.

A votre sante, mes amis.

It would not be lunch without the stylish swede.

We'll be in touch as soon as we have a date .. it won't be a Friday and we know that interferes with your schedule.

Hoppas vi ses då.

Maybe we could paint the cricket with the colors of the Davis Cup winning country each year. Like the Preakness Stakes.

Magnus - lunch will be at high noon on March 27th - please read up on lunch manners before you come as our customs in the US are quite different than yours from Sweden - you must use utensils and burping is not a requirement.

See you then, mon ami.

The new cricket looks awesome! The old one should've been auctioned off for some cash to pay for the renovation.
