The tournament was hectic for the grounds crew as rain storms continued throughout the week. The clay courts were utilized for most play, but the grass finally dried for the finals.

An amazing job from the Burr and lads - you know who you are and that's enough. Playing on three surfaces was tough for everyone but the LCC team pulled it off with grace and enthusiasm. The finals of both the Open and Senior divisions were up on the terrace - much to everyone's amazement - and they were a sight to behold. Great tennis, enthusiasm from the onlookers and an alien from Rhode Island (late of the AELTC).
Congrats to Fred, Larry, Mike and lads and the Notmans for persevering under the difficult conditions.
