Rain Day

It is a rainy Monday. The crew is off the courts and working on general landscape clean-up. Nate did a great job with the fall flower planting at the base of the cafe stairs.

Boo hoo - the boyz got a whittle wet today. Tough it out, dirt dogs, make me proud that you can take it.

Gen. George Patton slapped the slackers at Essex - perhaps we need to bring back corporal punishment at LCC.

And Kevin is just the guy to dish it out!!

The flowers look great - do you think that perhaps the "groundsmen" could spiff it up a little in anticipation of our visit from the swells from other clubs?

I'd like to see a little more discipline in the troops - perhaps a morning assembly in full regalia, then marching to their posts.

Ahh .. I love a dictatorship.

I love the fall flowers planted around the club - my colorist says I look good in fall colors so I'm going to hang around the stairs by the cafe and see if I get any admiring glances.

Tim - If you have time - one more coat of the paint in Mike's office and then two or, better yet, three coats of the finish I left for you. It looks great and wears well, and reflects the ambient light coming in from the window.

It will show off your newly shorn locks and clean visage.

Your in humor,as always.

I forgot to tell everyone - I sent a personal invitation for the conference to Carl Spackler - noted assistant greens-keeper and all around cannabis expert - he emailed back that he thought he might be able to make it as long as he could bring his explosives here from California.

We'll see.
