F/S Prep

A busy day of preparation for the national father/son championships. Rain was forecast for most of the day so the crew needed to have both the grass and clay courts ready for the competition. The day was definitely a challenge as irrigation was held back on the clay and grass courts due to the impending rain. Instead we just had hot conditions with a few sprinkles. Charlie and Wilson working on the clay courts. Neil mowing early in the morning.

Despite my constant joshing - kudos to the entire grounds staff for their work during the Father-Son tournament. Due to my formerly exalted position as the Capo Di Tuti Capi I've gotten to know the Morse-Karzen's and other teams pretty well and they all say that LCC is the best tournament and they sincerely appreciate the hard work of most of the grounds crew (the slackers know who they are).
Cheers to all and best of luck in keeping the grass in shape for the next few weeks.

Please stay away from our locker rooms and public areas during the extreme heat wave - no offense.

Ha.
